Daniele Buetti   born 1956 in Fribourg, Switzerland, lives and works in Zurich Daniele Buetti undertakes the attempt to destroy the perfection and indifference of beauty ideals communicated through fashion, advertising and lifestyle, by altering and branding the flawless faces of supermodels with writing, reminiscent of ulcers, tattoos or scars. The installation, "Will I ask for help", brings together the glamorous media picture world with meaningless fragments of text from our mass culture. Thereby the playing with the surface and its vulnerability reduced to the ornament seems to disclose the boundary between in and out, between identity and representation, as a construction.
