Åsa Elzén   born 1972 in Visby, Sweden, lives and works in Stockholm and Berlin Åsa Elzén experiments with salt in its various guises; in her work, experiencing the process of crystallization aesthetically is made possible. Ladies’ lingerie crystallizes into objects sharp as knives, their ambivalent material reminiscent both of the glittery world of beautiful appearance as well as of illness, disgust and fungal-outbreak.
