In
the 90s, more and more lesbian science-fiction films and films
especially lending themselves to feminist interpretation turned
up. The classical metaphors for femininity in mainstream sci-fi,
such as robots and figures of redemption, were re-interpreted
or substituted. The productive ambivalences of the thematized
gender representations in the exhibition are symptomatically
illustrated in two films from the late 90s in a late-night special
and put up for discussion.
